After 15 years, Audi's exhilarating R8 supercar is preparing to say goodbye. However, it's not going out quietly into the night. For the 2023 model year, Audi is introducing a limited special edition GT model with boosted performance from the raucous V10 powerplant, an upgraded transmission, a new Torque Rear driving mode, and exclusive styling. • Audi R8 GT Powertrain: Under the hood of the 2023 R8 GT is a specially tuned version of the prodigious 5.2-liter V10, increasing output from 562 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to 602 horsepower and 413 lb-ft. Audi asserts the R8 GT can hit 62 mph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds and 124 mph in just 10.1 seconds. Improved acceleration and fast shift times are made possible by a re-tuned 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that spins the rear wheels.


• Torque Rear Drive Settings: The 2023 R8 GT features a new Torque Rear drive mode that allows drivers to set their preferred amount of rear-wheel slippage. Level 1 limits rear wheel slippage for more grip when cornering, while Level 7 is for enthusiasts who like to swing the rear end out and slide sidewise around track curves.


• Weight Savings: The R8 GT equips exclusive, lightweight 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 high-performance rubber. Additionally, ceramic brakes, a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic anti-roll bar, and anodized aluminum coupling rod connections help contribute to a curb weight 44 pounds lighter than the R8 Coupé V10 performance RWD.


• Design: The R8 GT features exclusive styling cues to suit its status, including a Carbon Aerokit comprised of a front splitter, canards, a diffuser, and a rear wing with gooseneck suspension. The interior is adorned in black and red, with exclusive floor mats, bucket seats, and a sequentially numbered plaque.
