Q8 e-tron shown
In 2019, the e-tron SUV signaled the future of Audi's electrified lineup. With "e-tron" evolving to refer to Audi's overall EV brand, the automaker has renamed the midsize SUV to Q8 e-tron for the 2024 model year. But the change was more than a simple rebadging. The 2024 SQ8 e-tron was also treated to an extensive refresh with faster charging capability, more range, re-tuned driving dynamics, and updated styling. Now, Audi is injecting more performance into its flagship electric SUV with the all-new 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron.
Elevated Performance
While the Audi Q8 e-tron uses a dual-motor powertrain, the new SQ8 e-tron has three—one driving the front axle and two powering each rear wheel individually. The extra motor increases performance to 496 horsepower and 718 pound-feet of torque—increases of 94 hp and 228 lb-ft over the standard Q8 e-tron. With boost mode activated, the electrifying midsize SUV can sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds.
Engaging Driving Dynamics
The SQ8 e-tron's third motor does more than boost acceleration. Handling and maneuverability are also improved thanks to individually powered rear wheels, enabling precise, near-instantaneous torque distribution. The resulting enhanced turn-in makes the larger SUV feel surprisingly agile around curves and corners. Six-piston red-painted front brake calipers clamp down on 15.7-inch rotors to help keep the extra power under control.
S design Interior
The Audi SQ8 e-tron's cabin further accentuates the SUV's luxurious, performance-oriented character. Unique adornments include 12-way power-adjustable S-logo sport seats with contrast diamond stitching, premium Valcona leather upholstery, and Carbon interior trim in place of the Q8 e-tron's open-pore wood options. The Audi SQ8 e-tron also offers many desirable amenities, including standard equipment like:
- 10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower MMI touch displays
- Full HD Audi virtual cockpit
- Adaptive cruise assist with lane guidance
- Four-zone automatic climate control with comfort pre-conditioning
